POSITIONS OF INTEREST
Business Development Executive
We are interested in seasoned business development people. Responsibilities would be to have and development strong social and business community relationships with people in a position to influence business opportunities in the market or within their respective companies. You must be highly motivated, excellent at time management, people oriented, solution oriented, exemplary at social skills, good organizational skills, proficient on computers (Outlook, Word, Excel) and interaction with people.
Project Manager
You must have at least 5 years of furniture industry experience in managing furniture projects. Skills require excellent time management, high degree of competency at multi-tasking, good people skills, good organizational skills, proficient on computers (Outlook, Word, Excel) and reliable.
Interior Designer
Designer must be degreed and certified, preferably LEED certified as well. You should have at least 3 years of experience directly in specifying commercial furniture. You need a strong understanding of architectural space planning in commercial environments, specification of systems furnishings, industry terminology, excellent eye for finish selections and composition, self motivated, good time management skills, strong multi-tasker, good organizational skills, proficient on computers (CAP, AutoCad, Outlook) and reliable performance.
Installation Supervisor (Project Superintendent) and Technician (Team Leader)
J.Tyler has had the #1 ranking in the nation for our service team. We have the finest and most experienced installers in Houston. We are interested in adding additional supervisors and technicians.
Supervisor (Project Superintendent):
You must be clean cut and have at least 5 years experience as supervisors in the furniture installation industry. Our supervisors are more advanced than most other company’s supervisors. They are actually Project Superintendents and interact directly with the clients running the entire project on-site. You must be a strong people manager, possess excellent project and cost management skills, communicate well with your team and the customer. You should be self motivated, focused on completing tasks quickly and correctly and be reliable.Technician (Team Leader):
We are interested in young people who are looking for a career. You must be clean cut and must be proficient at assembly of products or have an aptitude for it, possibly have a construction background, capable of reading drawings and complex instructions and be capable of learning and managing project activities. What we call a technician most other companies call a supervisor. Many times you will be running a crew or outside technicians on small jobs or part of a major project whenever we hire technicians from outside firms on large projects or during peek periods; therefore, you need to not only be or develop as a proficient technician, but be capable and willing to manage a team.
